With facilities such as research stations at Heron Island and Moreton Bay and nearly 300 marine researchers, The University of Queensland offers you one of the most diverse and comprehensive marine programs in Australia. Students from Australia and around the world come to UQ to be taught by our internationally renowned marine scientists and complete postgraduate degrees within our world-class facilities.

Many of our advanced undergraduate classes include field trips to one of our research stations situated on the Great Barrier Reef and subtropical Moreton Bay, giving students important hands-on experience in some of the most biodiverse marine habitats on the planet. Our research stations all provide the perfect bases for conducting PhD and Masters research projects. 

There are a range of options for students wishing to come to UQ to study marine biology and science, ranging from the 3 year Bachelor of Science degree to one year or one semester intensives for advanced marine students as well as diverse postgraduate options.
